"As He was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two
brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother
Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were
fishermen. He said to them,
'Come after me,
and I will make you fishers of men.'”
The Heart of Jesus thirsts for souls. So, for love of His
heart we seek to bring to Him those who are separated
from the Body of his Church. To that end, each family is
asked to prayerfully consider for whom we should pray
that they may experience the invitation of the Lord
personally.
Then you are asked to draft a prayer petition that we
will insert into the General Intercessions at Mass after the
Creed. Don’t worry too much about the form, we will
adjust as necessary. Your petitions can be entered here:
Thank you!
As our Fishers of Men project is underway, we will
be praying at Mass with your own intercessions for
healing and conversion for our family members,
friends, and community. That is only part one of this
project... part 2 is in the works!
We are asking 12 parishioners to come forward to be
our parish apostles, our door to door
missionaries that go out to our neighbors to share
the Light of Christ.
Those who are sent out will only need to commit to
one 2-hour time slot, one day during Lent. Our apostles
will each accompany Joanna Mason and/or Fr. Flum, so
the time when we will go out will be worked out
according to your schedules. Training will be provided.
Is God calling you to this mission? Please pray
about the possibility.
